A Small Visitor and I've also been TAGGED!!

This little chipmunk has been living - at great peril (dogs) I might add - somewhere in or around my backyard all summer. With the arrival of fall, s/he has been searching for food to store for the winter months while s/he hibernates. There is plenty to find in my yard as I have left the grasses and other food items for the birds. There is also a wonderful supply of black sunflower seeds in the feeders. This little chippie has been getting brave and today s/he hopped up onto my back porch. The grandkids were here and had a good look while I ran for the camera. Not a bad shot for taking it through the patio door!

I've been TAGGED by Annie at Bimbimbie!

Annie wants to know how I picked the name of my blog. I wish I had some wonderful and imaginative answer for this. In actual fact, I was quite intimidated by the idea of blogging and who would be reading what I would write - if anyone did at all.

I thought blogging was somewhat like sending a note in a bottle out to sea. One never knows if, when or where it might be found. I thought I was doing the same sort of thing only in cyberspace ... sending messages out but not knowing if, when or who might see them. Hence "Blog In A Cyber Bottle" was started.

It has been a constant source of surprise each time I get a comment from someone new to know where my message has "landed" and I have met some wonderful new friends out in cyberspace!

Okay ... I'll tag June at Spatter and Heather at Orange Blossom Goddess! I am curious about your blog names too!

I hope you all have a week full of wonder too!

What a charming little animal. We have a gopher in the front yard upon whom I have declared war. My son said, "Mom, why don't you just pretend it's an underground chipmonk. You love chipmonks."

hehe such a cute little 'shitmunk' as I used to call them (I'm not kidding - ask my mom). I'll post on this tomorrow. :)

S/he looks cute enough to charm the dogs. Thanks for the tag.

What a cute little chipmunk! Maybe since they have been aware of each other all summer, the dogs and chipmunk are secretly best friends and are just playing chase for fun? :)

What a fun tag! There are some really unusual blog names out there and I have wondered about some of them.

Hi Jennie, I remember the first time I saw your blog name I got a mental picture of Robinson Crusoe walking along a deserted beach and lots of bobbing bottles going further out to sea *!*

Where do chipmunks sleep the winter months off? Do they try getting into houses via roofs or something similar? Smiles *!*

Well, the way I found your 'cyber bottle' was the cute little picture of the dog giggling! (saw it on gledwoods comment) I couldn't resist, I had to pop over.

Hi! *waving*

Cute little chipmunk! We have one too - who is especially plump as he ate most of my bulbs this past summer! (Hope he doesn't find the ones we planted this fall!) =)

Chipmunks are so adorable! We had one living in our yard a few years ago then one day he was gone and he's never been back. I like to think he ran off with another chippie and they're living happily ever after.

Thanks for your comments on my blog! ~ Lynda xo

That is a good tag to do. It would be interesting to hear the names behind the blogs. Mine was just plain boring and I didn't read blogs before I got one or I would have put more effort into it!

Your name is catchy.

Cute picture. I have lots of "food" in my yard, but my cat keeps the other creatures away.
I love your blog name and I love the story behind your choice. Isn't it amazing the people from all over the world who stop by?!

Love the little chipmunk. Don't see them around here. Liked your naming story very much. It fits. We never know quite where our posts will land.

...have you heard of Migaloo - means White Fellah. Migaloo is a white humpback whale, he and his friends are in danger - when you have a moment please fly over to have a read
about them *!*

Do chipmunks live in the ground?

We don't have them over here you see so I wouldn't know. They look like ground squirrels, which we don't get either. We only have grey squirrels which of course live in trees....

and supposedly red ones though I've only ONCE seen a red squirrel
